I don't know very much.
But I know that custard makes me feel better if I have a scratchy throat; her too.
I know this new magazine is gorgeous and one day I'd love to be able to contribute to it.
I know that the gift of a few old loaves of white bread not used up for holiday camp (thanks Michelle!) might not seem like much, but if you're making do, and are shopping-free, you can do a lot with those loaves.
Mince toasties for tea.
Crunchy croutons for salad.
Crispy toasts to spread homemade hummus on.
Breadcrumbs for the pantry.
And some to coat leftover rice squeezed together with cream cheese, some grated cheese, herbs and an egg or two.
Some baked in the oven.
Some fried in oil.
The fried ones were much better. (I knew it.)
And the leftover bread popped into the freezer with bread and butter pudding in mind for Friday night dessert night this week, and maybe this savoury mushroom bread pudding if I can execute a fungi trade.
